Overall, the best restaurant I know. I consider the food, the location and the ambience to be so excellent, unique and interesting that there is no price for me to be there.

As a hunter I can only say that the cook knows how to prepare game _optimal_ and with feeling. The sauces are a dream and classically made. The wine is not cheap, but very good and the professional, classic cuisine appropriate. If I go out to eat, then I want a real, extraordinary pleasure experience and I had it here. Many thanks. Absolute insider when it comes to game on the plate. The restaurant is quite small and quaint. For the season you should book. Here is still cooked properly. Always my pleasure!

You can almost call it a little insider tip. The restaurant is really clocky. This is how you imagine a village restaurant. The landlady is open and honest with everyone. The dishes are good.

Home-style, German cuisine, all homemade. Here, sauces are still completely self-made, the dumplings are not ready delivered but are freshly prepared. The selection varies seasonally and the ingredients are mostly from the region. The restaurant itself is quaint, in winter you can sit at the tiled stove and in summer the terrace is recommended. The prices are still cheap for the offered, because the portions are huge. Reservations are especially recommended in the fall and winter weekends. I have already met regular guests who come regularly for several decades.
Very expensive, a small fries for children costs 5 euros. Unfortunately, they did not become full. The dishes over 20 € - 25 €, except that Schnitzel for 12,50 €. Drinks were also overpriced. We will not go there again.
We have been coming regularly to the tri-border region for "Preunschen" for 5 years now and are looking forward to it months in advance despite the location! Of course, the game dishes are the specialty of hostess "Gisela" (who has learned the hotel in Amorbach and now cooks with passion). The sauces and side dishes bring the wild taste unique to bear, even if the sight of a whole goose or a rabbit on the dining table may not seem commonplace, the taste makes you like to forget who had to let his wildlife. Anyone who thinks of goose by the way "greasy meat", here is another lesson: The goose is 4.5 hours left out in the roaster and the goose fat is optional as a gift with home, but certainly not in the roast. The appetizer (lettuce with cress and dressing) is in addition to the side-vegetables (apple red cabbage, chestnuts) just as the overall experience, as the tennis ball-sized potato and bread dumplings (of course homemade). In short: hikers, if you find your way to Preunschen, pull in the head (the restaurant has about 2.50 height) and let you down here, then you will not rise for a long time!
